Le docétaxel est une chimiothérapie fréquemment utilisée dans la prise en charge des patients atteints de cancer de prostate métastatique. Un effet indésirable fréquemment décrit est une toxicité unguéale, mais aucune recommandation spécifique de prise en charge n’existe. Nous avons expérimenté l’intégration d’une podologue au parcours de soins des patients atteints de cancer.
Méthode
La population de patients traités par docétaxel monothérapie dans le cadre du soin courant pour un cancer de prostate métastatique à partir de la présence de la pédicure-podologue a été étudiée.
Résultats
Sur 56 patients étudiés, la moitié a eu une toxicité unguéale et 18 patients ont été adressés à la podologue. L’intégration de la podologue a été faisable et a permis ainsi de caractériser l’atteinte unguéale. Les principales lésions constatées étaient des hématomes unguéaux non coagulés, des hématomes unguéaux coagulés et des onycholyses. L’intégration de soins podologiques nous a permis de structurer une prise en charge des toxicités unguéales avec une surveillance spécifique par le patient et l’équipe oncologique soignante et des soins techniques podologiques adaptés.
Conclusion
L’intégration de soins podologiques spécialisés dans le parcours de soins du patient est possible et permet de modifier la gestion des effets indésirables unguéaux des patients traités par docétaxel pour un cancer de prostate métastatique.Permalink : https://bibliotheque.helb-prigogine.be/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id= [article]Exemplaires
